So you decided to ask after your mum mentioned it once....
The reason I know is because of curiosity. When somebody cracked a joke about it last year and got evil glares from a teacher(Ember, you know which one I'm talking about), I couldn't laugh because I didn't get it. When I asked, they simply giggled. These jokes carried on for a long time and one day, when I was doing research for health class homework, I found it. I found out what it was about that particular number that made it so amusing. And I wish I hadn't. People are so sick these days!
Why. Just...why. IT'S JUST A NUMBER!!!

Yeah now everytime I see the number I think of that and it's not the best thing to think about randomly. I remember once one of the numbers in my maths test was 1.69 and literally in the quietest voice I could ever have I whispered ".69" and giggled slightly. My teacher who was on the other side of the room just said "Don't be nasty" but I don't think she knew I said it luckily. Don't ask why I said it just one of those stupid moments I guess.
