A bit further into the distance was the series of spires, rising into the air. Although they looked as if they were crumbling away, we could find something there. At least they were still standing. Maybe they'd had information inside. Something about the history of this world. Our world. Us. I hardened my resolve and I called, "Hey, reckon we could get over there?", signaling to the spires. Maybe...

The crash appears to have been a tree.
(Okay I just don't know what to write here because my character isn't supposed to say anything.)

I nodded at Ember, it sounded like a good enough idea.

(Please pretend that Calamity has been awake this whole time...I couldn't log in for weeks.)
The crash made a shiver go down Calamity's spine. A tree had fallen inside the forest, the creepy one that Calamity had awoke in. She remembered the odd presence in that forest and briefly wondered if it had something to do with that. She pushed the thought out of her head and concentrated on Ember's plan. She was glad people were finally working together and actually talking to each other instead of basking in their own unhappy thoughts and refusing to even make eye contact.
"Sounds good..." She said.

So many things could go wrong. That lake over there could have anything inside it. Those ruins could have anything. Maybe even another civilization. A mutant breed of humans...I shivered. "Emerald? Could you, um, get everyone else?" As much as everyone else were my allies, I felt like NEmerald was the only one I could really trust.

Calamity walked over to Ember. She was debating whether or not to tell her about that presence in the forest that she felt or not. Calamity didn't know if she would just seriously annoy her or if the information could be useful. Dylluan had flown up into another tree and was watching everything closely.

I nodded at Ember and started to walk back to where we came from "Abelina?" I called out. I looked back and saw she was the only one missing.

"Yes?" I called out. My ball of light went out and I can't get anything to work. It seems I'm in some sort of dead area.....The voice sounded like Emerald, but I wasn't sure.

I followed the others, not saying a single word.

(guys-is it ok if I switch to first person? It's kind of annoying for me, and probably for you, to be the only one talking in third person.)

(k thanks people. here i go-in first person.)
(YEAH BUDDY!)
I noticed everyone starting to move towards the forest. I lingered back for a split second, still wondering if I should tell someone about that presence in the forest that I felt. But it was too late. No one was ready to listen anymore. I followed the rest of the group into the forest, trailing along behind the rest like that other girl. The silent one. Even though I hadn't heard her say much at all, she seemed intelligent. A good listener, maybe. I really wanted to tell someone about the forest in case it was important, but I kept it to myself. I didn't want to annoy anyone.

I walked toward the sound of multiple footsteps. I bumped into someone, accidentally knocking them down. In the dim light of the sunrise, I thought it was Calamity. I helped her up. "Are you ok? I'm so sorry."
