So what's the plan? There's no possible way we can repopulate the earth.

We have to think. Think real hard.

Might as well start now so we can find out what this 'M' person wants. Nearby, I found a large tree stump, flat with many rings. Taking a strong stick, I slowly carved out a map of the places we know so far, leaving lots of space for new additions. Even after fifty years, my navigational skills and memory are sharp as ever.

We'd been almost subconsciously walking along our path to the ruins. I didn't know how long it had been, but all of a sudden they were right there. A word sprang to mind: skyscrapers. Well, it certainly suited there monstrous buildings. I ignored Abelina and Calamity, who seemed to be having some kind of mind conversation, despite the fact that they couldn't read anybody's mind. Or could they? I shivered as I thought of it. Moments later, I got back to the task on hand. Maybe I should've had help, but I honestly didn't care anymore. Now, I could hardly understand M's note. Why try to rebuild when all our work would just crumble down again once we died? Even Caamity probably couldn't raise herself from the dead. But here was dangerous. When I looked into a window, I could see the skeletons there. Some dust, some still whole. A grinning skull stared blankly outside. I reeled from the sights and motioned to move on.

We began walking along and everyone seemed to forget that time glitch. I saw Azure pick up a stick and start carving something into a tree stump. Confused I walked closer taking a closer look. It seemed to be some sort of map. "That's amazing" I slowly muttered. She had got a lot of detail in, something most people I know, well knew, couldn't do. Including the people who claimed to have the best memory.

I looked back, and saw Azure attempting a map. It was so intricate...every detail was on it. It was as if she knew this place...knew it well

"That's amazing..."Emerald muttered, peering over my shoulder. Had I been free of the fact that I destroy with my voice, I would've replied and discussed my ideas. But I just give her a curt nod and go back to engraving.

(Erm guys? Azure didn't draw EVERYTHING. She only drew the parts that we've gone to so far.)

(Oh.)
(scratch that last post then.)
Azure was making a very detailed map of the forest. I waited for her to tell us what this was all about.

I wasn't scared, just afraid of what we might uncover. I crawled through a broken window, oblivious to the others' actions. Inside was another skeleton, crumbling away. But in its hand, clearly, was a small box. What could it contain? But again, I was afraid of it. Afraid of a box. I backed away. "Umm..." I started, unsure whether any of the group had even heard me. I don't know what I was hoping to achieve. For someone to get a plan? Even a wild idea would be helpful right now.

I noticed Ember, out of the corner of my eye, going towards the building. I decided to follow to see where she was going exactly. I noticed a broken window which I squeezed through, however I got a little scratch on my hand. Once inside the building I saw Ember looking at something, I turned my head to see a rotting skeleton with a small wooden box laying in it's hand.
I looked closer, destroying the spider webs hanging from the skeleton. I saw no difference within the box apart from the fact the latch looked rusty, which wasn't really a necessary piece of information. I turned back to Ember in hope that some of the others had also come here.

"Nope." I answered. Emerald obviously was wondering whether anyone else had been here. "I was the first here..." I still wanted someone to come up with a plan. But in the meantime...I summoned up my strength and asked, 'Open it?' It was scary how a sentence like that could make me so nervous to say. Besides, did I really want to know what lay inside?
