SHINE (AN EJ12 BASED RP)

"Here's your new equipment!" Dr. Shine said, in what seemed to be an overly excited voice. I felt the urge to yell that we were going on a mission, just let us get on with it, but suppressed it. "Try them on! Have fun, I'll be back!"
Zoe instantly reached for a hot pink suit trimmed with white fur. It was extraordinarily bright, and really wasn't good for camouflage at all. I still can't think of why she would choose that. I picked out a silvery-white suit. It was pale and almost shiny, perfect for hiding in a snow-ridden place. As I slipped it on, I could feel the extra padding under it, and wondered how cold it would be. Still, I had to keep up the presence of the nice, curious young agent that wanted to help out. How little the others knew. I looked at myself in the mirror, wondering what was still distracting me. There was something, I just couldn't ay my finger on it. Sighing, I walked out and into the room that connected. Zoë had evidently just finished, and now it was my turn. Dr. Shine saw me, and I walked up to her.
"So what's the new charm, then?" I sounded terribly bouncy and, well, bubbly.
Dr. Shine smiled. "Oh, you'll like this one."
She pulled out a small charm, golden brown, in the shape of a compass. "Seriously? A compass?" I sneered.
"No, not just any compass. This works for navigation, too."
Before I could question her any further, she took out a few pairs of shoes. "Now, which one would you like?"
"Do we still have those suction ones? Those were so useful last time." I tried to keep my tone light, and convincingly innocent.
"Sure we do." She pulled out a pair of white ones. I tried them on just once before heading to the small compartment in the train that was going to take us to the SHINEMOBILE. Zoë was already there, playing some game on her phone. What a way to waste time, I thought. Still, I pulled out my phone and read an article on strange Antarctic happenings while waiting for everyone else. I looked up at her, still busy with her game. This was going to be a long wait. I could already feel it.

I strolled into the bathroom, trying to keep cam despit the fact that I was going somewhere with a spy group! I was so excited and I couldn't wait! I tapped in 1-2-3-4 and zoomed into the HQ, where dr. Shine welcomed me and ushed me into a cubicle with a dark blue outfit with black for trim. I tried it on, and it felt prctically perfect. I didn't knew what it was for, though, and I tight I'd just ask someone in the train. She also gave me a charm that was shaped like a sun, that glowed and when I twisted it enhanced by vision into brightness a bit. I chose a pair of black rocket boots and literally bounded into the train, and asked:
"Hey, where're we goin again? I'm agent KH65, nice to meet you."

I randomly took the nearest outfit, plain sea blue with silver, and went into a cubical to change. The outfit was rather plain but I suppose it'll do. I went outside to find Zoe and Evie already there, Zoe in a pink impractical looking suit with fur and Evie in suit similar to mine in pattern but white instead of blue. Zoe accepted a charm to prevent sea sickness, like one that I know Evie has. Evie was given a small compass which probably did something besides finding where north was. Then Dr Shine turned to me and handed me a tiny keyboard.

"Now I know that your parrot Jabber usually deliverers your messages for you but because it's going to be too cold for any bird to fly, you'll have to use this if you get separated", she explained," just turn it on and sign out what you want to say and it will be sent to your friends".

I cringed at her last word. Friends. What is she going on about? And I was confused. We had phones, right? And you can text on a phone...
As if reading my mind, she said:" yes I know you can text with your phone, but chances are the reception won't be very good and texts can be intercepted. With this, only those back at the agency can see them so if it's a cry for help we can help you if you need it. Any further questions?"
I shook my head and accepted it, before signing a thank you. She then told me to choose a pair of shoes from another rack. Each pair did something different. I chose a pair that could turn into skates for the ice. I wasn't the best at ice skating but I could run for short distances on them. I also took a silver medium sized laser beam gun that could cut through thick ice for my weapon.

I went into a small compartment that would take us to the SHINEMOBILE. Zoe was already there playing some game on her phone that didn't have any educational value whatsoever and Evie was as usual, frowning as she read an interesting looking article. So these are my supposed comrades? I could achieve this mission by myself if i wanted. After all, I knew how to use many gadgets, in fact, I contributed to making this stuff before the mission. And the worst part is, there are more 'friends' to come.

Knowing well that Evie doesn't like anybody, I sat away from her and waited patiently for the others while I read an online newspaper.

(Oh, I suppose so, I'm just going to add it)
I also grabbed the sleep silver and ice blue gun off the desk.
"Smart decision." Dr. Shine said. "Freeze guns were always quite useful. Solar powered those, but they also have a few other power sources."
I nodded and walked towards the train.

Dr. Shine pointed to our new equipment before walking outside. I strolled up towards the rack a picked a slimline black outfit before going into a cubicle to get changed. It was slightly tight but after wearing it for a while I started to feel comfortable in it. I then walked outside to see Dr. Shine waiting.

"Ah Ella, here take this" she handed me a small microphone like charm. I took hold of it and stared at it quizzically until Dr. Shine explained.
"It records any voice, then press this button," she pointed at a small white button, "and breathe in, you will then have the voice of last person recorded."
"Neat. Thanks"
"Oh and also pick out a pair of shoes"
I walked up to the rack and picked up a pair of dark grey shoes which were light and had soft soles.
"Oh yes, these make little to no sound when worn but if thrown they will create an explosion noise, perfect for distractions." I nodded and walked up to the weapons grabbing a small sleep ray gun. I then made my way to where the SHINEMOBILES were. Once I arrived, Evie, Zoe and Lyra were already there." Evie seemed to be doing something on her SHINE phone and Evie and Lyra were reading. I smiled slightly before sitting down. Once seated I begun listening to music until everyone else had arrived.

I took a pale yellow suit and zipped myself into it, feeling the soft fur lining on the inside. When I went back out, Dr shine handed me a small water droplet shaped charm and said 'use it well' without telling me anything. I sweot some of my brown hair out of my face and took the pair of boots next to it.
"Are these for me?"
"Yes they are. They can release fire when you want them to"
"Thanks, Dr. shine!"
"They also help you keep afloat."
"No problem! I'm good a swimming so I won't even ned them! Don't worry!"
I grabbed a small golden dagger that glowed before rushing to the train. I sat next to Zoë and took out my bright yellow SHINE phone and began connecting to her game.

It was already getting boring, waiting for everyone to arrive.
"So, who are you anyway? I don't believe we've met..."
I refrained from saying that I didn't know half the people I'd met. And, of course, that they didn't know me either.

[Misha]

A few songs later I saw Molly arrive and sit down next to Zoe. A few minutes later out of the corner of my eye I saw Evie's lips moving. Pausing the music, I pulled out my headphones just to hear her say "met.." "huh?" I pondered out loud even though I didn't know whether or not what she had said was directed to me. I then realised me saying /huh/ didn't sound like the nicest thing to say. "Uhh I mean sorry what?" I quickly blurted out in hope of it fixing it.

[Evelyn]

"I asked, who are you? I really don't think we've met..."
My friendly tone wavered for a minute, but I managed to stop anyone knowing my true personality.

[Misha]

"Oh." Surprisingly she didn't sound too annoyed. "I'm Ella by the way" I smiled softly.

[Evelyn]

"Hello." I said. "I'm Evie."
(Ok, we should probably stop soon so that other people can catch up)

(I was going to say exactly the same thing)

"I'm Evie." She replied. "Nice to meet you Evie" I said before beginning to listen to my music again.

I went to the cubicle, taking a pale, almost icy green suit with me. There was some sort of insulating fur inside, making me warm - a little bit too warm for my liking, but then again, it was Antarctica. Who knew what we'd feel there? It was the perfect colour, too. Someone grabbed a hot pink one, and I can't think why. I exited and met Dr. Shine in the next room. She presented me with two things: a charm and a pair of boots.
"Vanessa - this charm will allow you to see in the dark, but only for a short while. And you can only use it three times, but only you will have the ability."
"So what about the shoes?"
"Well the pair here have pretty extreme suction- but they're pretty hard to walk in. You might need to practice in them. You'll be slow, yes, but you can stick to surfaces easily enough. Just click the heels together and they'll go into suction mode."
I walked through the room, grabbing a small black laser gun. I wondered what it did, probably shoot lasers that would blind or kill. I entered the small compartment that seemed only just large enough for all of us, just in time to hear a girl say "I'm Evie."
I introduced myself, too, because it just felt right. "I'm Vanessa Flier. Nice to see you."
I thrust my hand out before realizing that it seemed a little bit too formal.
