So, I thought we should try a roleplay where we AREN'T humans, so here we go...
Summary: You are an adorable puppy who was abandoned by your owner. You live a sad life in a sad shelter. You know they are going to put you down soon, but you don't think there is anything you can do. When you meet a group of adventurous puppies like you, you instantly become friends. But, their adventurous nature must have gotten to your head, because you are about to attempt the most risky event in your puppy life. You are going to escape. Will you make it out?
The application is posted in the 'entries' sub-category, so make sure you submit it in their and not, like, here.
Remember to watch the calendar regularly for dates about when roleplays will start and other news.
You may receive notices in your PM box and alerts about roleplays too, because I like to keep everyone informed.

The roleplay will start in the shelter. You are in your cage. Anything you do or say is up to you at this point. Your character does not have super puppy powers. Note that your cage has bars on it on your left, right, to your front and to your back. You can see dogs next to you and in front of you. Behind you is the back room where staff members may be. Keep this all in mind as you roleplay. The rest is up to you...
A big clattering of metal woke me from my restless sleep. I put my paws over my ears angrily to block out the noise, but my curiosity got the better of me. Peering through the bars of the cage I could see it was the new girl, Mindy. Her hair was gathered onto the top of her head in little random curls, reminding me of the ragged ends of one of the chew toys they gave me once. It was absolutely dreadful. Not only did it smell like about 3 other dogs had vomited on it, there were also some very prominent stains all over it. It was not my duty to try to figure out what they were. The staff were not in the least pleased when I picked it up by the end and carried it over to the trash can.
Mindy had dropped an armfull of metal crates all over the ground, rousing every other dog in the shelter. In a matter of 3 seconds the whole shelter had gone from peace and quiet to huge dogs barking their heads off and chihuahuas yipping 5 octaves higher. Mindy knelt to the floor and gathered the crates and hurried away. None of the dogs stopped barking.

It was very very noisy. like readlly really noise. i almost felt like i couldn't sleep even though i needed to despite my freakishly enegtic personality. "come here goldie!" someone cried. I went to the front of my cage and yiped. "Aww..." they said. They were called Alexis or Alewx for short. I barked 'Alex!" but she was a human so she didn't understadn. "Shhhh!!!!!" she said instead. "don't make more noise!" and she disapeared into a small room for humans. Eveyrthing smelled disgusting but I kept my hopes high. maybe one day i'd escape with my puppy friends. Not that I had many. id tried lots but never got any true friends.

I watched as so much happened, all I wanted was a good sleep. I barked mournfully and settled down on my bed of newspaper, dreaming of the day when I'd finally get out. I was so cute! Why did no body want me? I gave what would be a sad howl, but I couldn't and even if I could no one would hear me.
